From the Bishop's Desk

My fellow worker in Christ, may the God of all creation be your strength and shield as we go forth in His name to conquer any foe of the Christ of Calvary.

May I first thank you for the splendid support given during our recent Idaho Jurisdiction Convocation in Idaho Falls for the Lord blessed us over and above measure. I have received many reports from the Saints of the Idaho Jurisdiction and some even as far as Tacoma, Washington indicating that this was one of the most rewarding and fulfilling Convocation held in Idaho.  I appreciate the compliments given, but I hasten to add no Convocation is successful without the participation of conferees who are willing to give their highest level of participation. May the Lord continues to bless you for your faithful support.

I have made some changes in this Idaho Jurisdiction so that we may grow natural as well as spiritual, I am asking all Jurisdictional saints to help me. If you work with the program, I believe it will take us a long way toward reaching our goals in the Idaho Jurisdiction.

General information:

As of July 28, 2002, there will be no more 1st or 2nd Administrative Assistant to the Bishop. As of July 28, 2002, Elder D. Patterson has assumed the position of the Bishop's Aide. As of July 28, 2002, Elder J. Fletcher will be the overseer of the 4th weekend over every month, Fasting and Praying for the Idaho Jurisdiction. Mother M. Bowens is the Administrative Overseer of Miracle Temple C.O.G.I.C., and Min. A. Bowens, Jr. will assist her, and I pray that the Idaho Jurisdiction of the C.O.G.I.C. will work faithful with her. I have appointed Mother Girtha E. Foster as the Chairlady over the Idaho Jurisdiction Women's Department. I pray that every Church would work with her in this Department. Elder D. Patterson will be contacting all the Churches concerning their report so that I may make this report in Sept, at the Bishop's Conference Meeting. There will be a Memphis Rally Meeting and Bishop Appreciation meeting in October. This will be a combine program (meeting) and the dates are as follows: October 23-27, 2002. Wednesday night will be New Hope's night, Thursday will be Community's, Friday will be the Women's Department night, Saturday will be Miracle Temple's night and close out on Sunday. I would like this newsletter to be published every 3 months, and to also include all the information concerning the Idaho Jurisdiction. Please send information to newhopetemple_cogic@yahoo.com.
